Definition

The prompt for WWYD asks you to think through what you would do when setting out to learn something new.

Purpose and Goal

As instructors, it is part of our job to help students learn. But few of us have given considered attention to how learning happens. It is difficult to facilitate learning when you have not thought about the processes involved. A good way to begin is by considering how we learn ourselves.

WWYD asks you to think through what you do when you are faced with a situation in which you need to learn something new. In this WWYD prompt, you consider your approach to learning as a catalyst for thinking through the learning process.
