Developing Pedagogical Knowledge
Activity 2.1: The Edumyth Diagnostic
The Edumyth Diagnostic is an informal quiz intended to help you identify your understanding of current “edumyths,” or common beliefs about teaching and learning. Taking this diagnostic can help you identify gaps and misunderstandings in your knowledge base so you can take steps to fill or correct them.
Activity 2.2: Focused Autobiographical Sketch
In this Focused Autobiographical Sketch, you write a self-portrait on how you acquired your current level of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK).
Activity 2.3: Personal Learning Environment (PLE)
A Personal Learning Environment is a graphic representation of tools, people, and services that can aid learning. Creating a PLE that focuses on your teaching and learning helps map a framework to expand your knowledge in your areas of expertise as well as your teaching methods.
